Like we said, it’s hard to explain. Here’s the story: these barrels were first filled with Colorado honey whiskey and then filled with spiced rum. Finally, they were filled with a blend of two different quadrupels and aged for 33 months on whole spices, including vanilla beans, cardamom, orange peel, ginger root, raisins, cloves, nutmeg, peppercorns and cinnamon.

The result is an 18.1% ABV beer our head brewer calls one of his favorite beers he has ever brewed. If you know him, you know to trust that recommendation. If you don’t, take our word for it.

Each pre-order includes one (1) bottle of It’s Hard to Explain for $25 + tax. Limit two bottles per customer. If pre-orders sell out, don’t worry! Additional bottles will be available at both taprooms on Saturday, August 1.

Ticket Details:
Purchasers must be 21+ and show valid photo ID at bottle pick-up.
Proxies may pick up orders but must also be 21+.
Exchange tickets, digital or printed, for bottles in person at River North Brewery North Taproom. Pick ups are only available at 6021 Washington Street Denver, Colorado 80216.
Unclaimed bottles after the designated pick-up window will be refunded minus a 20% restocking fee.
